Peggy Martin Rose, Colonial Lake, Charleston, SC
This photograph is part of a series called "Extraordinary, Ordinary Living Botanicals of Charleston Parks".
The flowers are photographed on location with natural light and the elements, with minimal editing to preserve accuracy. The flowers are not cut or altered for the photograph, they are living and not harmed in any way.
The rose was brought from Louisiana, after surviving two weeks submerged in salt water after hurricane Katrina. Cuttings were brought to Charleston and planted around Colonial Lake.
